HARRY B. CLARK, 72, RETIRED GROCER, DIES WEDNESDAY.
Harry B. Clark, 72, who for 40 years owned and operated a grocery store in Wabash, died Wednesday evening at 10:45 o'clock in the Wabash County hospital after a two weeks' illness. Mr. Clark was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 15 and was released on Dec. 19, when he was taken to the Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne to undergo treatment. He was brought back to the Wabash hospital Wednesday evening about 6 o'clock.
The son of Robert H. and Hester (Wilson) Clark, he was born in Wabsh on Feb. 28, 1870, and had spent his entire life here.
He, together with his brother Charles Clark, established the Clark grocery here about four decades ago. Later Harry B. Clark assumed sole management of the store which had been located at 269 South Wabash street for the past 25 years. The store closed here in the early part of 1942.
Mr. Clark was married to Anna Wilson who preceded him in death in 1934. One daughter, Mrs. B.V. Worth, survives together with the brother, Charles Clark of Fort Wayne.
The decedent was a member of the Elks Lodge.
The body was taken to the Jones Funeral home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Jones Funeral Home. #Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
