Dora Honeycutt Allred

ALLRED, DORA HONEYCUTT - age 87, of Damascus VA. passed away at the home of her daughter Oct 4, 2009.

Born March 30, 1922 to Leonard and Arbana (Bauswell) Honeycutt in Campbell County, TN. She was married to James "Pack" Allred September 3, 1938. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to garden, can and quilt, and especially loved having her family around. She had made her home in Ypsilanti, MI for 45 years, retiring from K-Mart. She attended the Graceway Baptist Church.

She now joins her parents, husband and son Ronnie, and brother Willie Honeycutt.

She is survived by a son, Clifford (Jeannie) Allred, Adrian, MI; daughter, Carolyn (Michael) Cheek, Damascus, VA; three granddaughters, Robyn (David) Feaser, Jami (Gerard) Heller and Jodi Cheek; three step grandsons, Chuck, Dennis, and Todd Harkness and families; four great grandsons, Nicholas and James Feaser, and Carter and Nathaniel Heller, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. at Martin Wilson Funeral Home, LaFollette, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4 PM Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Steve Tiller officiating.

Interment will be at Oak Grove cemetery, Lake City, TN. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of SW Virginia, 600 West Ridge Rd., Wytheville, Va. 24382.
