Birth: Jan. 10, 1910
Death: Dec. 20, 1999

Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) Deceased: Myrtle Lloyd Allred Date: December 23, 1999 Myrtle Allred passed away December 20, 1999 in Rigby, Idaho. Born January 10, 1910, in Salt Lake City, to George and Beatrice Lloyd, Mother was proud of her Mormon Pioneer heritage, and modeled their determination and courage in her own life. Her choice to live a life of religious devotion served as an example of commitment to all of her descendants; her tolerance and acceptance of their choices endeared her to all of them. She married Rulon Clark Allred, November 9, 1935. Mother consented to live plural marriage with the man of her dreams, and willingly shared his love and devotion with her sister-wives who valued and honored him as she did. While she was the biological mother of three children, all of Dad's children knew and valued her love, and many of them lived in her home and called her "Mom." Mother worked for years as a legal stenographer for the Salt Lake law firm of Worsley, Snow and Christensen. Her career was a financial blessing to Dad and the family, but never detracted from her ability to keep a loving and well managed home. She was active in her career, energetic in her compassionate service to others. Mother blessed all she served with the tireless energy and devotion for which we all knew her. She is survived by her sons, Rex Allred of Rigby, Idaho; Lloyd Allred of Espanola, New Mexico; Vance Allred of Salt Lake City; Merlin Allred of Riverton, Utah; and Mel Allred of Rigby; many other sons and daughters, grandchildren and sister-wives knew her love and honored her. While we sorrow at our separation from her, we feel blessed with the assurance of eternity together. A viewing will be held at the Apostolic United Brethren RCA building, 16580 S. 1224 West, Bluffdale, Utah, Thursday, December 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Services will be held at the RCA building, Friday, December 24, at 12 noon, preceded by a short viewing beginning at 11. She will be interred at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 South.
