NISSWA -- Leonard "Junior" L. Larson Jr., 50, Nisswa, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
He was born April 30, 1951, in Nisswa to Leonard L. and Frances E. (Erickson) Larson. He graduated from Pequot Lakes High School in 1969. He served in the Army. He married Jan Freeman on April 6, 1974, at First Baptist Church in Brainerd. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 14 years as a crew foreman. He worked for TDS Telecom/Arvig Telephone Co., on the plow crew for more than three years. He graduated from Brainerd-Staples Technical College with an AAS degree in physical plant technology in February 1994. He worked as a cable installer and repair technician for Charter Communications since 1995. He was a member of the Pequot Lakes Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Josh Larson, Nisswa; a daughter, Keri Larson, Nisswa; a brother, Michael "Mickey" Larson, Nisswa; two sisters, Diane Stowell, Baxter, and Helen Fluck, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; and a granddaughter.
His parents died earlier.
Services were today at the Pequot Lakes Baptist Church with Pastors Mark Whittemore and David Grotzke officiating. The Nisswa American Legion Color Guard provided military honors.
Arrangements were with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
