Irish Revolutionary. Originally against violence, but committed his Citizen's Army to the Easter 1916 uprising, where he was in command of the GPO building. One of fourteen leaders of the uprising to be court-marshalled and executed by firing sqaud (a further 75 were condemned but reprieved).
