I do not know in which newspaper this obit appeared. It was found on page 1 of paper dated July 30, 1928, p1 head line OLD SETTLER FOUND DEAD
Henry Peters, life-long resident of St. Joe, was found dead in bed this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. A. Kirkpatrick, two miles west of St. Joe.
Mr. Peters had been in poor health for sometime, suffering from a complications of diseases, but his sudden death came as a great shock to his family.
Henry Peters was born April 20, 1860 in St. Joseph Township, being 68 years, three months ad 10 days old t the time of his death. He was married November 14, 1888 to Susannah Foreman at Homer. He had been resident of St. Joe his entire life with the exception of six months which were spent in Bement. Since the death of his wife, March 14, 1924 he had made his home with his daughter and family.
He was a member of the St. Joe Church of Christ. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. J. E. Myer pastor of the church, officiating.

The deceased was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Flossie Kirkpatrick, St. Joseph; and Mrs. Opal Hawk, living near St. Joseph, and one son Raymond Peters, who is pot master here; three brothers, Joseph Peters, Darlington, Indiana; William Peters, Warren, Indiana; Arlie Peters, St. Joseph, and the following grandchildren, Ruth Hawk, Gladys Kirkpatrick, Gale Hawk, Robert Kirkpatrick and Ray Jean Peters.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. J. W. Myer, pastor of that church, officiating. Burial was in the Mayview cemetery.
