He attended schools in Walnut Ridge, Ark. and on November 2, 1935 he was united in marriage to Miss Mamie Malone, who preceeded him in death on July 17, 1982.
On June 16, 1984 in Caruthersville, he was united in marriage to Irene Stubbs Thrasher.
He owned and operated a grocery store in Wardell for 21 years prior to his retirement and was a 50 year Mason and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Glenn Dunehew of Covington, Ga., Billy Dunehew of Kittmer, Mo. and John Dunehew of Stone Mountain, Ga.; four daughters, Dorothy Grew of Rolorodo Springs, Co., Joyce Cassidy of Amherst, N.H.; Linda Duckworth of Caruthersville and Becky Cole of Pascola; One sister, Lucille Rossett of Memphis, Tenn.; and 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Griff Walker and the Dr. James Adams officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery.
