Services were held at the Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon for John Cleveland Moore, 74, who died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Memphis on Monday, September 29. The Rev. Don Johnson conducted the service and burial was in Maple cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home service.
Mr. Moore was born November 25, 1884 in Wayne County, Tenn. and lived his early life in that state. On January 3, 1935, in this city, he was married to Mrs. Pearl Foster and they have made their home here for the past seven years. He was a retired farmer.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, James E. Moore of Nettleton, Ark.; a daughter, Mrs. Delma North of Delta, Colo.; four step-sons, Sam Foster of this city, Clyde, Jack and Bill Foster; a step-daughter, Mrs. Clara Nelson of Blytheville; and eleven grandchildren.
