Mrs. Wilbur Willard Laid To Rest
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilbur Willard, 39, who died Sunday May 21, at the Spirit Lake Hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in Donovan Funeral Chapel. Interment was made in Lake-view Cemetery.
Jessie Lorena Mackey, was born in Wellington, Kansas on January 9, 1911, the daughter of John Alexander Mackey and Etta Dorinda Mackey. She grew to young womanhood in Wellington, attending the schools and Sunday School in that city. She was graduated from the High school there, with the class of 1930.
She was united in Holy Matrimony with Wilbur W. Willard on September 22, 1930 at Sheldon, Iowa and they moved to Spirit Lake to make her home. Mrs. Willard was a member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 447 and active in Sunday School and church work until failing health caused her to discontinue.
Mrs. Willard leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Wilbur Willard, her father, John A. Mackey of Portland, Oregon, two brothers, Albert R. Mackey of Seattle, Washington, Glen A- Mackey of Portland, Ore. and one sister, Mrs. H.O. Wohlford of Oherryville, Oregon.
Mrs. Willard was preceded in death by a baby brother Charles Joseph in 1918 and by her mother, Etta Mackey in 1920.
