Passes at Puyallup
Lewis S. Cass, 88, Centralia, died Sunday in a Puyallup nursing home.
He was born July 9, 1873, in Iowa, and had been along time resident of the Lewis County area. He was a member of the Winlock Christian Science church. Survivors include the widow, Minnie C., at home; three daughters, Mrs. Eunice Strange, Sherwood, Ore.; Mrs. Ora O. Chamberlin, Shelton, and Mrs. Beulah L. Thomas, Seattle; 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchild [sic].
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock with Mrs. Oscar Anderson reader. Burial will follow at the Little Falls cemetery near Vader.

Lewis Cass first married Zeruiah Lucretia Young on 12 Feb 1896 in Adair Co., Iowa. They divorced, but then remarried on 28 Apr 1923 at Miles City, Custer, Montana.
He third married Daisie A. Miller (nee Remey/Ramey) on 29 Apr 1929 at Walla Walla, WA.
On page 11 of the 12 April 1944 issue of the Santa Barbara, California News Press a marriage license is reported for Lewis Seth Cass and Phoebe Myer, both of Washington. In the 1950 United States Census they are living in Lewis County, Washington and recorded as married 6 years.
He fifth married Minnie C. MacKay on 4 May 1961, in Mason Co, WA.
