Ralph Junior Bauser, 82, died at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, August 9, 2009, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born November 26, 1926, in bluffs, Illinois, to the late Ralph and Nora (Six) Bauser.
He married the former Clara Elizabeth Bull on December 24, 1947, in Alton. She survives.
A Navy veteran, he was an auto mechanic for 40 years at Mercer Cadillac, retiring in 1992.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons and their spouses, Steven and Beverly Bauser, Gary and Jolene Bauser, Donald Bauser, and Mark and Dee Bauser; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Bodkins; a sister, Helen Schuessler; and three brothers, Marvin, Richard, and Leland Bauser.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Randy Fisher will officiate.
Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
