During WWII, PFC Miller was a member of Co. K, 311th Infantry, 78th Division and was killed in action in the Huertgen Forest in Germany.

WOODBRIDGE (NJ) - A total of 98 gold stars may now be counted on the Township service flag, with the announcement of the death of Pvt. Edward P. Miller, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller, 506 New Brunswick Avenue.

The young soldier was previously reported missing, but this week his parents received a telegram from the War Department stating that it has been determined Private Miller was killed December 13 in Germany.
