Bob Lee Dickson was the son of Joseph Grayson Dickson (1838-1912) and Nancy Emeline Allen (1840-1903). Joseph and Nancy are buried in Cleveland Cemetery in Conway Co., AR. He married Lillie Edna Lynch on 22 Jan, 1899 in Cleveland. Their children were Little Sister who died at birth in 1900, Lawrence Lee, Gertrude Easter, Lillian Ruth, Ottie Edra, Lois Irene, Omer Earnest and Murrell Joseph. They resided in Dysartsville, McDowell Co., NC before coming to Arkansas. They lived in Cleveland, Nichols and Liberty before moving to Tulsa. Bob Lee was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a devout Christian. When homesteading in Arkansas, a group of ruffians came to their home to create a problem. Bob Lee told his wife "Lillie" to "go get the Winchester". His daughter Lois Irene recalls that her dad then hit one of the hoodlems so hard that he knocked the man's teeth out. He was obviously a man that loved the Lord and stood up to evil to protect his family.
