CROSBY - Josephine Edna Habighorst, age 93, of Crosby, formerly of Deerwood, passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, 2007, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born July 3, 1914, in Rochester to Harry and Mabel (Bigelow) Waldron. She married Albert Henry Habighorst on Sept. 14, 1932, in Howard Lake, Minn. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Cedarbrook. Josephine enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and especially family gatherings and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by four sons, Paul (Barb) Habighorst, of Esko, Vern (Rita) Habighorst, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Al (Jan) Habighorst, of Deerwood, David (June) Habighorst, of Gilbert, Ariz.; two daughters, Linda (Michael) Olson, of Bloomington, Ill., Allene (Steve) Walz, of St. Paul; two brothers, Harrison Waldron, of Beggs, Okla., Mickey Waldron, Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Amy Cogswell, of Zumbrota, Harriet Kurth, of Henderson, Nev., Winnifred Mueller, of Rolling Stone, Minn.; 30 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; two sons, Roger and Dale Habighorst; a daughter, Karen; brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Cedarbrook. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
