"Big Turk" died Monday, September 7, 2009, at Select Specialty Hospital in Houston, Texas.
He was a member of the Lake Jackson Worship Center and he enjoyed fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, C.B. Turk, and sister, Delores Earls.
Charles is survived by his wife of 22 years, Angela Turk of Freeport, Texas; mother, Erma Lee Bryant (Jerry) of Freeport, Texas; sons, Charles Turk Jr. and Zacharias Turk of Freeport, Texas, Chuckie Austin of Bay City, Bernard Duncan of Arcola and Michael Thompson (Kemek) of Churchill; raised as a son, Elton Duncan of Houston and Montrell Austin of Bay City; daughters, DaShounda Morgan, Natashia Turk and Charlene Turk of Freeport; brother, Roy Townsend (Ann) of Brazoria; sisters, Joyce Livingston of Freeport, Carolyn Harris of Lake Jackson and Corrine Turk of Houston; mother-in-law, Emma Jones of Lake Jackson; special friends, Roland Daniels (Gwen) of Freeport; six grandchildren; and host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Fred Morgan, Steve Townsend, Cedric Morgan, Dan Phillips, Richard Morgan and Troy Townsend.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles B. Turk Jr., Zacharias Turk, Chuckie Austin, Montrell Austin, Ronald Daniels and Elton Duncan.
