"The LaFayette Sun" - March 3, 1915:

Moorefield - Again death has come into our community. On the morning of the 17th of February, Mrs. Cadenhead, the mother of Mr. Cadenhead and Mrs. Jennie Storey, of this place, died. Mrs. Cadenhead was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Storey, when death claimed her. She was buried at Mt. Olive Church in Lee County. She was a good Christian woman and loved by all who knew her. She leaves several children and grandchildren to mourn her death. The writer extends sympathy to the bereaved ones and would have been glad to have visited the aged mother in the last few hours of her sickness, but being sick, I could not do so. Mrs. Cadenhead's affliction are over. She has passed over on the bright, eternal, happy shore where afflictions, troubles and trials never come ever to be (with) the Lord in whom she trusted.
Mrs. S. Jones and children, of Alexander City, were called here the 17th on account of the death of her mother, Mrs. Cadenhead.

"The LaFayette Sun" - March 17, 1915:

Mrs. Elizabeth Cadenhead.

In loving remembrance of Mrs. Elizabeth Cadenhead, whose life passed to the better land Feb. 18, 1915 (sic) at seven o'clock. She was born in Morgan County, Ga., June 27, 1832. She leaves four daughters and four sons, forty-two grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Dear Grandma, we miss they sweet face, but we hope to meet you again on the great day. But we know you are enjoying the sweet rest, which you had wished for many years.

A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we love is still,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

Her Granddaughters, Myrtle and Vera
