CLARKSVILLE – Mary Aline Fodge Allen, 82, of Clarksville, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, in Dubuis Hospital of Paris.
Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial follows in Madras Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Clarksville Funeral Home.
She was born Nov. 30, 1926, in the Novice Community of Lamar County to W.H. and Pearl England Fodge. She was an excellent cook and especially looked forward to cooking for her family. She was a retired Home Demonstration Agent for Red River County and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dianne Allen; and three brothers, Caton, Norris and Vernon Fodge.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, S.W. "Billy Sam" Allen of Clarksville; one son, Paul Fodge Allen and wife, Mickey, of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Lee Cross, Allen Cross and wife, Carol, and Abbi Allen; one great-grandchild, Samuel Cross; one brother, Jimmy Fodge of Novice; one sister, Pauline Fodge of Novice; two nephews, Larry Fodge and Kelly Fodge and wife, Ann.
Pallbearers are Don Eudy, Johnny Drew, Robin Bland, Charlie Segleski, Alan Hale, John Booker, Larry Smith and Ruben Puttett.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mark McGill, Matt McGill, Bruce Hulen, Kenny Lewis, James Martin, Thomas Stringer, Bubba Stringer, Bill Hale, Bruce Emery, Ben Townes, Bob Christophersen, Riley Christophersen and the Builders Sunday School Class.
