Merle J. Dunlap, age 80, of Seymour passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007. He was retired from Greyhound as a bus driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clemmie Farmer Dunlap; brother, Charles Dunlap of Ohio, sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Irl Roberts and Ruth and Clyde Williams.

Survivors: Daughter, Judy Cole and husband Joe; grandson, Casey Boring; granddaughters, Carey Lindsey and husband Scott, Rebecca Cole; great-grandson, Tanner Bowman; great-granddaughters, Ciara and Brianna Lindsey; sister-in-law, Ruth Dunlap of Ohio; brother-in-law, Howard Barbara and wife, June; special nieces, Pat, Betty, Debra and Carole; special nephews, Gary Williams of Maryville and Timothy Dunlap of Ohio; mother of his daughter and caregiver, Alma Fugate.

In lieu of flowers memorial donatons may be made to Blount Memorial Hospice.

Family and friends will meet 11 Am Monday at Eusebia Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Rev. Ernest Condee officiating. Military honors provided by American Legion Post 104.
