She attended the Pentecostal Church. She was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed watching soap operas and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
Mrs. Rankins was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald Lee in 1968, a brother, Ed Walling November 3, 1993, and a sister, Mageline Harris in 1987. She is survived by her husband, Elmer, of the home; children, Sanford and Robert Rankins both of Wagoner, Georgia Farar of Wagoner, Sharon Morgan of South Haven, Mississippi and Leon Rankins of Miami; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Gleason Walling of Sand Springs; and a sister Marie Sowers of Wagoner.
Funeral services were held November 12, 1993, in the Lakeview Cathedral Church with the Rev. Roy Brown officiating and the Rev. Carl Murphy assisting. Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home.
