Ruth Lee Cooper, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior September 22, 2009 at Loudon Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Cooper; daughter, Judy Cooper; parents, Jim and Mae Davis; six brothers; and five sisters. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Kathy Cooper of Andrews, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Cooper and Bruce Buchanan; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Bonnie Davis of Tallassee; sister, Nell Franklin of Greenback; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and special friend, Josephine Hunt. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Thursday, September 24, 2009, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. Tyson Matoy and Rev. Tommy Messer officiating. The interment service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
