Harriet Talbert was born in Grundy County, Ohio, July 11, 1834. There she grew to womanhood. October 12, 1852 she was married to James McCreary.
Six sons and two daughters survive - Hugh of Bradgate, David of Anthon, Andrew of Waterloo, Edward of St. Paul, James of Malta, Montana, and Charles of Edgemont, South Dakota. Mrs. A. A. Whitmer of Curlew and Mrs. Belle Tidrick, who lives in Oklahoma. All attended the funeral.
Mrs. McCreary was a consistent member of the M. E. Church. She was a most deserving lady and she was spared until she reached a ripe old age. She had the respect and confidence of all those who knew her. Our sympathy is extended to the sorrowing relatives.
