Find A Grave contributor LMafera has made a suggestion. My records show that Jacob's father (Thomas) is probably buried in County Tyrone, Ireland. Thomas married Mary Marshall on May 21, 1708 in a Friends Grange Meeting house near Charlemont in County Tyrone, Ireland. In 1726 Thomas was appointed to represent the Grange Monthly Meeting in a larger Province Meeting.

Jacob was born in Clanfekill, County Tyrone in Ireland, and married Rebecca Nov 6, 1735 in a Friends Church in Ballyhagen, Armagh Ireland. Jacob was a weaver and a farmer. They moved to New Garden PA in 1748,
then to Menallen, PA in 1758, then to Cane Creek NC in 1765.

Jacob bought 378 acres from Herman Husband, who later led the "Regulators" which was a band of armed interior NC colonists who resisted excessive taxation of the British colonial government. In 1771, the band's leaders faced execution and Jacob with several of his sons signed a petition asking for clemency for these leaders.
