Obituary from the "Lexington Herald-Leader," Lexington, KY, February 14, 2003:

"HARLAN - Sudie Forester Spillman, 94, Ashland, formerly of Harlan, past regent of Mountain Trail Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, [and past member of the Ocklawaha Chapter, DAR], widow of Karl Thomas Spillman, died yesterday. Services 2 p.m. Saturday, Harlan Baptist Church. Visitation 1 p.m. Saturday, church. Arrangement, Anderson-Laws Funeral Home. Memorial gifts: Clear Creek Baptist Bible College Sudie F. Spillman Scholarship Fund, Bell County."
