Mike Eberle, age 69 of Lynden, died at his home on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Mike was the son of Pius and Gunda (Muffenbier) Eberle and was born in Baker, North Dakota on March 15, 1934. He grew up in North Dakota and 1950 his family moved to Seattle where he graduated from high school and then served in the US Army.

He was employed at Washington Natural Gas in Seattle where he became an instrumentation specialist and retired following a thirty year career. He was married to his wife Linda in 1986 and they had recently moved to Lynden.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Club.

Mr. Eberle is survived at home by his wife Linda; step-daughters Joleen Rich of Boise, ID. and Lori and husband John Stambulich of Billings, MT.; four grandchildren; a sister Evelyn and husband Richard DuPlessis of Santa Rosa, CA.; seven brothers, Frank and wife Pauline of Rugby, ND, Fred of Everett, WA., John and wife Jen of Napa, CA., Edward and wife Bessie also of Rugby, Nicholas and wife Patricia of SanLeandro, CA., Peter and wife Sally of Ellensburg, WA. and Richard of Tempe, AZ. and numerous other relatives.
