William Bork, a former resident of this neighborhood, died at his home near Macon, MO, on March 13th, at the age of 74 years. Funeral services were held in the Christian Church near Macon. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bork, early residents of Chatsworth and was married to Miss Ida Lunghus. Surviving, are three sons, Alvin, Fred and Elmer and a daughter, Minnie Fowler, all of Macon and a brother, August of Macon, two brothers, Fred and Ernest and a sister, Tillie, of Chatsworth.
(William's mother was Henrietta Prantschke. A brother, Gustav Bork, mem.#42142230, preceded him in death).

William Bruno Bork, b.15 Oct 1866-d.Mar 1940, whose ancestors were of German descendants and Lutheran in faith. He was the son of Carl Bork who settled in Livingston Co, Illinois. William married 25 Feb.1891,
Ida Lunghus, b.28 Oct.1871-d.31 Oct.1938.
They came to Macon Co, MO about 1911 and settled 3 miles north of Anabel, where they farmed. They had 4 children, one being Alvin Lewis Bork, b.20 Dec.1893- d.08 June,1974, wife Ruby Harriett Hubble, b.26 Nov. 1884- d.03 Aug. 1985,
dau. of Theodore and Martha Emma(Myers)Hubble. Ruby and Alvin were married 12 Feb. 1919. They had one adopted dau. Betty Jean, b.15 Nov.1925, farmed at Anabel until moving to Macon Dec.1946.
