Erna Long, 94, of Idaho Falls, a homemaker, died Aug. 3, 1995, at Bannock Geriatric Center in Pocatello.
She was born Feb. 10, 1901, at Eisenger, Germany, to Fred and Marie Euhus Drewes. In 1908 the family moved to Canada, and then to Texas in 1910. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1916, where she has since lived.
On Jan. 14, 1923, she married Howard Long. He died July 3, 1974.
She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, and a charter member of the Riverdale Social Club.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) James of Twin Falls, Mrs. Edwin (Marjorie) Poulter of Idaho Falls, Mrs. Bob (Norma) Davis of Pocatello, and Mrs. Paul (Karen) Davis of Mukilteo, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St John Lutheran Church, 290 Seventh St. in Idaho Falls, with the Rev. Richard Collin officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour before services at the Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Buck-Sullivan Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
The family suggests memorials to St. John Handicap Fund.
