Mr. Carlos Dewey Hopper of Webbs Cross Roads died Wednesday, January 13, in Howard Clinic, Glasgow, where he was a patient. He was 60 years of age.

He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Hopper who preceded him in death. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Elsie Hopper, and ten children -- Sabrie Hopper and Ferrel Wilson of Webbs Cross Roads, Janet Gadberry of Decatur, Ill., Gretchen Stephens and Linda Sue Hopper of Cincinnati, Roe, Donald, and Jack Hopper of Fonthill, and Richard Hopper of Webbs Cross Roads.

He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and four sisters and a brother, Laura Norfleet of Ingle, Delpha Hines of Cincinnati, Myrtie Tarter of California, Alma Sullivan of Ohio, and Oscar Hopper of Lexington.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 15, at Fairview Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. J.W. Hubbard and Rev. Drewry Meece. Burial was in the church cemetery with Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Russell County News)
