UNIONTOWN - Ray F. Dahmen, 41, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at about 11 Tuesday night at a Portland motel, where he and his family had stopped after leaving here that morning on a vacation trip to the Oregon beaches.Mr. Dahmen, owner and operator of the Community Market & Grocery here, had not been ill previously.Born here Sept 2, 1916, he had operated a grocery at Kamiah and had worked at Lewiston before buying the Uniontown store about 12 years ago. He was married at Lewiston Nov. 11, 1940, to Ella Dentler of Juliaetta.Mr. Dahmen was a parishioner of St. Boniface Catholic Church here and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lewiston Elks Lodge.Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Ronald, Donna, Douglas and Margaret, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Dahmen of Uniontown; six sisters, Mrs. Hortense Bergman and Mrs. Earl Brown of Spokane, Mrs. Eleanor Snyder of Odessa, Wash., Mrs. Herman Cox and Mrs. Robert Jacobs of Uniontown, and Mrs. Don Redinger of Moscow; and five brothers, B. C. "Dick" Dahmen of Colton, Stephen Dahmen of Uniontown, and Wilfred, Thomas and Sam Dahmen of Spokane.The body will be received Thursday at the Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman.Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Church with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Klemmer as celebrant, and burial will be at the Uniontown Catholic Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Friday night at 8 at the church by Rev. Fr. Anton Flour of Pullman
