Birth: Jul. 8, 1890

Utah, USA
Death: Feb. 9, 1968
Weber County
Utah, USA

Burried on 14 Feb 1968
Ogden, Utah.

Married 18 June 1919 in the Logan Temple to (1) Mable Anderson (div. 7 Sept 1937); Married (2) 15 May 1940 in the Logan Temple to Rachel Odessa Cole Owens (div. Aug 1945).

Albert grew up on the family farm at Mt. Sterling and received his education in the oneŚroom school house with the other Redford children. He filed on a homestead near Central, Idaho, sharing difficult and happy experiences with the families of his sisters, Martha and Alice, who had homesteaded in the same area. After Albert and Mable were married they lived on the homestead for two years but harvests were discouraging so they sold out and moved to Utida, Idaho, and Cornish, Utah, until 1923. They moved to Hyrum and Albert hauled mining supplies to Mineral Point, above Avon, Utah. Due to an injury to his right leg, blood poisoning resulted and he was unemployed for some time. After his recovery, he purchased acreage at Cornish and was employed with Union Pacific Railroad for twenty years. There were many summers of hard work for the entire family, getting fruits, vegetables and meat ready for their winter needs. In the evenings, after all chores were completed, a "candy-pull" or some fun activity was enjoyed.

Albert and Mable sang to his accordion accompaniment or to her playing at the organ. He was an expert harmonica player and they were part of an orchestra which played for dances held in the old "Silver Star" school house at Weston, Idaho. In the winter time, when the roads were snow-covered and icy, a bed was made in the back of their sleigh for the children. It was fun listening to the sleigh bells, and often they sang all the way there. Pot luck lunch was shared after the dance. After Albert and Mable were divorced, he sold his property and moved to Clearfield. He was employed at the Naval Supply Depot until after the Korean War, when a lay off in personnel caused him to be out of work. He went to work at Hill Air Force Base until his retirement. At that time he received a special commendation for his application to duty, for his interest and concern of fellow workers, for his congeniality, devotion and loyalty to his employer and country. He was honest and kind to every one and a devoted father to his family.

Albert and Mable had the following children:

Albert Mont, Mable Laverne, Donna Jean, Lola Mae, Ivan Dell, and Wendell Marion.
