Services for J.D. Martin,83, of Gadsden, Rt. 9,
will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Methodist
Church in Calhoun County with the Rev. A.B. McCombs
and the Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating. Burial will
be in Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden with Gray Brown-
Service Mortuary in charge. The family will receive
friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home where
the body will be until an hour before services.
Mr. Martin died Monday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewel Martin of
Glencoe; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Harden of Duke, Mrs.
Pat Burnham of Anniston, and Mrs. Doris Harrelson of
Ontario, Calif.; a son, Travis Martin of Gadsden; nine
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mr. Martin was a Calhoun County native and a retired
employee of Emory Foundry. He was a member of Bethel
Methodist Church.
