Mr. Harmon Alderman, of Lake Geneva, died at his home Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, and was buried in the Melrose cemetery this afternoon at 3 o'clock.

Mr. Alderman is survived by a large family, beside two brothers, Mr. Basil Alderman of Melrose, and Dr. J. H. Alderman, of this city, and four sisters, Mrs. R. L. Moore, of Stateburg, Ga., Mrs. A. Morrison, of Marvin, Ga., Mrs. William Lee and Mrs. Fortner, of Melrose.

The many friends of the family will sympathize with them in the loss of their husband, father and brother. Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal and Mr. and Mrs. Ogletree, of this city, were among those attending the funeral from this city.

Mr. Alderman was well known and highly esteemed in Starke. For a great many years he was a frequent visitor to Starke, and a large number of our citizens who knew him as a man of sterling character will be pained to learn of his death.

Mr. Alderman was in his 67th year, having been born March 13, 1855. He had been an unusually vigorous, active man during almost his entire life but prior to his death was confined to his bed for many months.

Of his immediate family he is survived by his wife, a daughter and four sons, Mrs. Emma Fraser, of Lakeland, Messrs. M. S. Alderman, of Jacksonville, H. G., Hiram and Angus Alderman, who live near the old home in the Lake Geneva section. Besides these he was attended in his last hours by his brothers and sisters, Dr. J. H. Alderman, of Gainesville, B. J. Alderman, of Brooklyn, Mrs. B. J. Fortner and Mrs. M. J. Kennedy, of Lake Geneva, Mrs. Alice Lee, of Melrose, Mrs. Laura Moore, of Statesboro, Ga., Mrs. Anna Morrison, of Barney, Ga., and Mrs. Sue Weathersbee, of Jacksonville.

Mr. Alderman had been for many years a consecrated and active member of the Baptist church. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Rawls, of Tampa, a former pastor of the deceased, assisted by Rev. Mr. Gibson, present pastor of the Baptist church at Melrose. The service was attended by a large number of sorrowing friends, and beautiful floral offerings bore testimony to the love and esteem in which Mr. Alderman was held.
