Coral Ozment was the fourth of five children of James Wisdom Ozment (1842-1918) and Eva Lucinda Martin (1847-1932). She was born and lived her life in Palestine. On November 29, 1919, she married James J. Horan (1879-1943).

The fourth daughter of J. W. Ozment, Mrs. Coral Ozment Horan, has carried on Mr. Ozment's Insurance business to the present. Having been associated with her father in business for a number of years, she continues to enjoy the splendid patronage which was his.

Her husband is her very able aid in both the office and outside work connected with the business. Mrs. Horan has been active in Palestine's social and philanthropic life for many years. When the United Daughters of the Confederacy flourished, she was President of the John H. Reagan Chapter, If was during her administration that the movement was set on foot to erect the splendid monument to Judge Reagan, which stands in Reagan Park. Mrs. Horan has been very active in affairs pertaining to the Palestine Library, serving for the past 15 years as President of the Library Board.
