Mrs. C. R. Quick was born near Girard, Burke county, March 20th, 1836, where she lived until five years ago, when she came to Waynesboro where she has lived since. She was the daughter of Henry and Polly (Godbee) Heath. When a young girl she united with the methodist church known as Bethany and to it she was always loyal and true. On Saturday morning at 2:30 after several days of severe sickness, she laid life's burdens aside and went to her reward.
She leaves a husband, five sons and three daughters. May God's tenderest blessings rest upon them and may they all meet her where parting is no more.
