OBITUARY FOR IRENE HUGUET HEWERDINE (1911-1988)
PAXTON, IL -- Funeral services for Irene S. Hewerdine, 76, of Paxton will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St Mary's Catholic Church, Paxton, the Rev. Philip Dedera officiating.
Burial will be in Ludlow Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Knapp-Miller Funeral Home, Paxton. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hewerdine died at 5:14 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 10, 1088 at Mercy Hospital , Urbana.
She was born June 29, 1911, at Ludlow, IL a daughter of Paul and Sarah Cleary Huguet. She married Ray Hewerdine in 1930 at Paxton. He survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Robert Hewerdine of Lake Iroquois, Loda, IL, William Hewerdine of Rantoul, Richard Hewerdine and James Hewerdine, both of Paxton, and Michael Hewerdine of Buffalo Grove; a daughter, Margaret Ann Kissaw of Urbana; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildre; and a sister, Bernadine Graham of Ludlow.
She was preceded in death by two brothers - Edward and Francis - and two sisters Margaret and Sister Mary St Vincent DePaul - and a son, Donald.
Mrs. Hewderdine was member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paxton.
