Wichman, 92, Seneca, died Aug. 13, 1987, at a Sen­eca hospital.She was born Aug. 24, 1894, on a farm northeast of St. Benedict, the daughter of Henry and Anna Haverkamp Heiman. She was reared on the farm and attended St Mary’s School at St BenedictMrs. Wichman was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Seneca and St. Ann’s Society of the church. She also was a member of Ladies Christian Benevolent Asso­ciation and a former member of Bet­ter Homes and Garden Club of Sen-She was married to John H.Wich­man Febt 1, 1921, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St Benedict.They farmed south of Seneca until 1924, then farmed east of Seneca until 1938. They managed the Ne­maha County Convalescent Home from 1939 until 1960 when they re­tired and moved into Seneca. He died March 18,1965. A son, Ralph Wich­man, died Jan. 15, 1986.Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Adalaide Schmitz, Axtell, Mrs. Evelyn Nash, St Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Araline Spielman, Muscotah, and Mrs. Marilyn Lierz, Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Emmett Wichman, Valley Falls, LeRoy Wichman, Kaiserlautern, West Germany, and Ken­neth Wichman, Shawnee; two sis­ters, Mrs. Nora Mueting, Seneca, and Ann Heiman, Emporia; 34 grandchil­dren; and 32 great-grandchildren.Mass of Christian Burial was Aug. 17 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Seneca. Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.Lauer Funeral Home, Seneca, was in charge of arrangements.
