MRS. MORGAN D. JONES, BELOVED BY MANY, ENETERS HAVEN OF REST
The many friends of Hon. And Mrs. Morgan D. Jones will hear with much sorrow of the death of Mrs. Jones last Wednesday at a hospital in Alexander City. Mrs. Jones became so ill on Tuesday that she had to be rushed to the hospital at Alexander City, and an operation hurriedly performed. It is reported that she died on the operating table.
Mrs. Jones was Miss Dozier and was raised in the Dozier community. Both she and Mr. Jones are known to practically every citizen of this county and section where they have spent most of their lives. Up to a little more than a year ago, they lived in Andalusia, when they moved to Dadeville where they now reside. Mrs. Jones was a devoted member of the Baptist church, and with her fine qualities of character, and interest in religious and civic affairs, had a wide circle of friends.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Hon. M.D. Jones, and six children, as follows: Herbert, of Meridian, Mississippi; Mrs. S.M. Lowery, of Gadsden, Ala; Kent and Ruth, who reside with their father at Dadeville.
The remains will be brought to Dozier for interment, and will reach there Thursday evening. Funeral service will be held on this (Friday) morning.
