New Hampshire Governor. Born in Derry, he was Governor from 1907 to 1909. Prior to being elected Governor on the Republican ticket, he served in the State Senate from 1899 to 1901. A prominent freemason, merchant, and manufacturer, he died in Manchester. (bio by: Mayflower Pilgrim 332)
