James Roy Cannaday "Jim"

James Cannaday age 27, of Roseburg, Oregon went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2004.
Jim was born on April 9, 1976, in Newberg, Oregon, the son of Lloyd and Margaret (Frost) Cannaday. He was raised in Yoncalla, Oregon, where he lived most of his life before moving to Roseburg in 1990.
Jim was born again a couple of years ago when he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. At that time he became a member of the Vine Street Baptist Church of Roseburg.
He enjoyed his job as a welder / fabricator. It excited him when he could make things. Jim enjoyed many sports activities including, basketball, golf, bowling and fishing.
Jim brought joy to most people he met. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Lloyd and Margaret Cannaday of Roseburg, Oregon; daughter, Tara Duckett of Albany, Oregon; son James Riley Cannaday of Estacada, Oregon; two brothers, Lloyd Cannaday III of Creswell, Oregon; William "Bill" Cannaday of Coos Bay, Oregon; grandmother, June Cannaday of Newberg, Oregon; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Lloyd Cannaday in 1998.
Those who wish may pay their respects on Thursday, February 19, 2004, from noon until 7p.m. at Wilsons Chapel of the Roses. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2004, at 1p.m. at Vine Street Baptist Church. Pastor Mike Holleman will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the 40 Day of Purpose Book Fund and these may be left at Vine Street Baptist Church. 2152 NE Vine Street, Roseburg, Oregon.
Private inturment will be held within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Wilson's Chapel of The Roses is in charge of arrangements.
