PAULDING -- Dorthy I. Lytle, 91, died at 8:43 p.m. July 28, 2002 at Vancrest Health Care facility, Van Wert, following and extended illness. She was born May 23, 1911, in Washington Township, Paulding County, the daughter of Lonnie and Ethel (McDorman) Snyder. On July 16, 1928, she married Chester Lytle, who died Oct. 4, 1993. For 25 years, Mrs. Lytle worked as a licensed practical nurse at Paulding County Hospital, retiring in 1979. Survivors include: Daughters -- Barbara (Lawrence) Rhoad of Harrod; Mary (Tom) Strable of Paulding, and Sandra Tempel of Fort Wayne, Ind. Daughter-in-law -- Marilyn Lytle of Grover Hill Twenty-two grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Carolyn Koch; a son Russell Lytle; two granddaughters, Tina Galloway and Brenda Hornish; a brother, Alvah Snyder and two sisters, Florence Collins and Mildred Longstreth. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.. Friday, Aug. 2 at Den Herder Funeral Home, the Rev. Jack Berry and Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill. Calling hours will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 and 8 a.m. until time of services Friday, Aug. 2.
