Mrs. Blanche K. Bennett, 77, died suddenly at her home in this city early Wednesday morning, December 19, her death being attributed to a heart attack.
Born March 19, 1885, in Poseyville, Ind., she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kightly. On January 28, 1909, she was married to Albert O. (Bert) Bennett and at that time they moved to Caruthersville, living here since then with the exception of a period of ten years when they lived in Little Rock, Ark. Mr. Bennett passed away on Septebmer 15, 1946.
Mrs. Bennett was an active member of Eastwood Memorial Methodist Church and for many years sang in the choir. She was a charter member of Chapter DM of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, which was organized in 1920 and was an active member until her death.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Harold S. Jones of this city and Mrs. C.A. Nelson of Jackson, Miss.; also four grandchildren, Charles and Carol Nelson and Lee B. and Jane Ellen Jones.
Funeral services will be held this (Friday) afternoon at the Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Floyd V. Brower will officiate and burial will be in Little Prairie Cemetery, with LaForge Undertaking Company service.
