Garland B. Styles, 69. Sunnyslope. a former resident of Peshastin, died Friday evening in a Spokane area hospital.

Mr. Styles was born April 28, 1909 in Sevier County, Tennesee, where he grew up and on January 6, 1930 he was married to Sarah Barnes there. In 1952 they moved to Peshastin and in 1956 to Entiat. In 1959 they moved to Manson and in 1966 they moved to Sunnyslope, where they have since resided.

He was a member of the Eastmont Baptist Church in East Wenatchee.

Mr. Styles leaves his widow, Sarah of the family home; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Ruby Jean) Suttles of East Wenatchee; five sons, Walter Styles of Sevierville, Tennessee, Herbert Styles of Portland, Oregon, Ralph Styles of Malaga, Charles Styles of Plain, and Robert Styles of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Waldroup of Sevierville, Tennessee and Mrs. Ethel McCarter of Knoxville, Tennessee: three brothers, John Styles of Knoxville, Dave Styles of Catlinburg, and Tom Styles of Louden County, all in Tennessee; also 16 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy and Lola May.

Funeral Services were conducted at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning February 6, in the Ward's Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Lawton Griffith officiating.

Organist Loy Willet accompanied Carla Jackson, who sang "Precious Memories" and "Haven of Rest". Pallbearers were Roy Floyd, John Thomas, Perry Hannah, Owen Higginbotham, Chuck Ruble and Harold Askland. Concluding services and interment followed in the Peshastin Cemetery.

Those who wish may make memorials in his name to the Eastmont Baptist Church Building Fund. Ward's Funeral Chapel, of Leavenworth, was in charge of the arrangements.
