Johannes and Anna lived, and raised their children, on the farm located on Hackett Road just west of Kansas Road - northwest of Kidron in East Union Township. In later years, they left the farm and moved to "downtown" Kidron into the house which was located on the property which, later, became the grounds of the Kidron Auction Company (The "Kidron Sale"). After Johannes died (1908), Anna moved back to the family farm, on Hackett Road, where a small addition was made to the house for her use.
John and Anna Lehman appear in the 1870 census on page 173 as "Jno" Lehman. Their second child, Verena (Fannie), is shown as "Frances".
To learn more about Johannes and Anna Lehman, see "The William H. and Mary P. Lehman Family" authored by James O. Lehman, great-grandson of Johannes and Anna. The book is available at the Kidron Community Historical Society building in Kidron, OH.
