Elizabeth, known as Kate, was the daughter of John W. & Mary (Willett) Carrico.
On July 22, 1850, Kate's parents, John W. & Mary Carico, ages 27 & 19, lived in Owensboro, Daviess Co, KY. Kate, age 2, was shown as Elizth C. John was a carpenter & owned real estate valued at $200.
Kate married Clinton Patterson Pearson in Mexico, Audrain Co, MO on February 27, 1867.
On July 20, 1870, Clinton & Kate, ages 25 & 23, lived in Salt River, Audrain Co, MO with his father & step-mother, John & Eliza, ages 73 & 74. The nearest post office was in Mexico, MO. His parents were fairly wealthy owing land valued at $20,000 & a personal wealth of $500. Clinton helped his father with the farm work.
On June 29, 1880, Clinton & Kate, ages 37 & 31, lived in Vandalia, Audrain Co, MO with their children, May & Harry, ages 4 & 2. Mary Carico, age 30, Kate's sister, was another member of their household. Clinton was employed as a dry goods merchant.
On June 9, 1900, Clinton & Kathren, ages 57 & 51 (May 1843 & July 1848), lived on Water Street in Biloxi, Harrison Co, MS with their children Mary, age 23 (Oct. 1876); Harry, 21 (July 1878); & John, 19 (Oct. 1880).
Clinton was a "Collector." Mary had a job as a dry goods clerk; Harry & John were grocery clerks.
On April 16, 1910, Clint P. & Kate, ages 66 & 61, were were renting a home in Biloxi Ward 1 with their daughter, May, age 21, & Kate's sister, Mollie McPike, 60, a widow.
Clinton was a commercial grocery traveler. May had a job as a cashier in a grocery clerk.
Kate died in Biloxi on June 15, 1910.
"DEATH OF MRS. KATHERINE PEARSON"
After an illness of about two years and a half Mrs. Elizabeth Katherine (sic) Pearson, aged 62 years, wife of C.P. Pearson of this city, died at her home at 407 East Howard avenue this morning at 10:41 o'clock.
Mrs. Pearson was a resident of Biloxi for the past twenty-two years, coming here from Owensboro, Ky. She was well known and was liked by all who knew her.
She leaves, besides a husband, three children, Miss Mae and J.P. Pearson of Biloxi and Harry W. Pearson of Enterprise, Miss.
The funeral will take place from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, interment to be in the Biloxi cemetery".
