Elbridge married Anna Sophia Christenson (1865-1944) on December 24, 1881 in West Chehalem, near Newberg, Oregon.

Elbridge and Anna had the following children:

Elbridge was named after Elbridge Gerry Duvall, Sr. (1815-1891), who had married two of his father’s sisters. He was raised on the Donation Land Claim outside of Willamina, Oregon. After marriage to Anna Christenson in 1881, the couple resided near Newberg, Oregon for a couple of years. Shortly afterwards, they removed to Willamina and resided on land now owned by Harley Isaac Mishler (1909). In 1900 Elbridge along with other family members, was deeded 80 acres of the original 640 acre Donation Land Claim of his grandfather, Lewis Franklin Rogers (1795-1863). This was located in the West Chehalem Valley, outside of Newberg, Oregon. Elbridge or “Ebb” as he was known, relocated his young family to this land and after clearing the land, began farming on it. His first task was to move the family house to a new location nearly a quarter of a mile, by using wooden rollers. In 1911, Elbridge purchased an additional 23 adjoining acres for $1,000 from his brother-in-law, Martin Milton High (1859-1948), the wife of Elbridge’s sister, Annie Kyle Fendall (1870-1908). This purchase brought the total to 103 acres. He raised cows, chicken, and hogs. In 1912 he was convinced to plant peach trees, being the first to be introduced to the Chehalem Valley. Records indicate that Elbridge supplemented his income by working for a time in the Chehalem Valley Mills as well as in a milk condensing plant in Newberg. Fendall was deeply involved in the Chehalem Valley Baptist Church, which is now known as West Chehalem Friends. When his children were getting older, he moved several times to town so that they could attend high school in Newberg. He would commute back and forth to both sites to keep them running smoothly. Elbridge went to McMinnville, Oregon for medical attention four weeks prior to his death, and died there after a stroke.
