Jil Lynn Gagon Inkley, age 34, our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend passed away on February 4, 2000, in Salt Lake City, following complications arising from acute anemia. Born February 17, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Hugh William and Sybil Arva Mowrey Gagon. Married David Shirl Inkley on December 9, 1983, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Jil graduated from Granger High School and enjoyed cheerleading, showing horses, and water-skiing. She was an accomplished singer, loving and using music to express her testimony of the Savior. Her legacy of righteousness, compassion, and love to others touched many lives. She will be remembered best by the example she set. She was a devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings.

Jil was totally committed to her husband and children and they were the center of her life as she taught them correct principles. She was loved by all who knew her and we were touched by her loving example and the dedicated service she gave. We all feel we want to live more righteously because of the life she led.

Survived by husband, David; children: Mitchell D., Chantry M., Karalayne, Colton G., all of Philipsburg, MT; parents, West Valley City; two brothers and five sisters: Ed Gagon, Salt Lake City; Edna Angus, Florida; Sharlene (Jay) Duke, Salt Lake City; Dawn (Earl) Parry, Pocatello, ID; Kenny (Diane) Gagon, Washington; Berniece (Charles) Bawden and Jolynn (David) Pendelton, both of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by sister, Kathleen.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 noon, at Taylorsville Oakhill Ward, 955 West 4800 South. Friends may call Monday, 5-8 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
