LORIS -- Edward (Ed) Eugene Sarvis died at his home in the Oakdale Community Monday.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Oakdale Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence [sic] Hardee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Hardwick Funeral Home.
Mr. Sarvis was born in Horry County, Aug. 3, 1911, a son of the late T. J. and Della Causey Sarvis.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Eva Mae Wililamson Sarvis; four sons, William E. Sarvis, Bobby Gene Sarvis and Roger Sarvis, all of Tabor City, N.C. and Douglas Sarvis of Conway; a daughter, Miss Linda Carol Sarvis of Tabor City, N.C.; two brothers, Ronnie Sarvis of Tabor City and Marshall Sarvis of Whiteville, N.C.; two sisters, Miss Kizzie Sarvis of Whiteville and Mrs. Retha Norris of Chadbourn, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
