She was born in Lock Haven on Feb. 25, 1937, daughter of the late Byron and Mildred Bechdel Gorham.
Vivian was an accomplished homemaker who loved computer games, crafts and visiting the local thrift stores searching for bargains.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy K. Bechdel, one sister and one brother.
Surviving are four sons Jack (Christine) Glantz of Mill Hall, Mike (Pam) Glantz of Lock Haven, Pat (Patty) Glantz of Lamar, and Robert Glantz; four daughters, Lisa (Dave) Eckard of Altoona, Kelly (Marty) Ulbrick of Woodland, Dana (Joe) Dorey of Howard and Jane Bechdel of Avis; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Johnson of Blanchard.
Private family memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Helt Funeral Chapel of Mill Hall is in charge of the arrangements.
