F. Homer Leontine

F. Homer Leontine, 90, of Blairsville, formerly of Ligonier, died Monday afternoon, May 12, 2003, in Latrobe Area Hospital.
He was born May 17, 1912, in Hanson, Mass., a son of the late Gasper Emanuel and Anna Daisy Hayes Leontine.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a foreman-coordinator at Lavoie Laboratories in Morganville, N.J. He retired in 1984 as principal ranger for the Monmouth County Park System in New Jersey. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a life member of the Matawan (N.J.) American Legion and a member and elder of Matawan Presbyterian Church. He was a past matron of the Sirius O.E.S. 123 in Matawan, the Fort Ligonier Chapter 349 O.E.S., the Matawan Lodge F&AM 192 and Ligonier Lodge F&AM 331. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1948 with a law degree.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Dixon Leontine; a son, William C. and his longtime friend, Thurza, of Latrobe; a daughter, Ann Bugosh and her husband, Edward, of Ligonier; a grandson, Benjamin J. Bugosh; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mark (Mydi) Vitale of Cleveland, Ohio and Nancy Dixon of Boca Raton, Fla.; and a stepson, William S. Dixon of Blairsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Adaline Lucy Clement Leontine, in 1967; and three sisters.
Ft. Ligonier Chapter O.E.S. 349 and Ligonier Lodge 331 F&AM services were held at Wednesday in McCracken Funeral Chapel, Ligonier. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester, Mass.
