COSTA, GEORGE E., 'GEE', 86, of Gemini Drive, passed away peacefully Saturday August 29, 2009 in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Dominga Costa who passed away on August 1, 2009.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Manuel and Dorothy (Gardner) Costa. George was employed at Technic, Inc. for many years as a driver and was a United States Coast Guard Veteran serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a Member of the Otha Boone Lodge # 931 I.B. P.O.E.W. in Providence and served as Past Grand Exalted Ruler.

He leaves two daughters; Dorothy C. Costa of Providence, Catherine B. Morris of Dover, Delaware; two sisters, Lorraine Roomes and Geraldine Ballou both of East Providence; one brother, Manuel Costa of Providence; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Roland C. 'Bubba' Costa and the brother of the late Donald, Roland and Ellery Costa.
