She was a lifelong resident of Surgoinsville. Blanche loved flowers and to work in a garden. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Ace Adams; a son, Carl Adams (Deaf, he was hit by a train);
her parents, George W. Sandidge (obit said Thomas) & Melvina Mercer Sandidge in 1952;
a sister, Maude Winegar along with a brother, Carmel (Pat) Sandidge in 1995, and brother Lem Deaver Sandidge in 1948.
Margaret Blanche Adams is survived by a nephew, Fred Sandidge & his wife, Shelia Ann (Surgoinsville); a great nephew, Anthony (Tony) Sandidge (Surgoinsville); great nieces, Susie Sandidge & Kim Sandidge (Castlewood, VA); her great-great nephews, Jordan Lynn Sandidge & Logan Kyle Sandidge (both of Church Hill); special cousins, Edsel & Elvie Phipps (Surgoinsville); her special friends, Elder B. Cormier & his wife, Mary Ann (Blountville) & Earl Cookenour (Kingsport); along with several more family members & friends.
Calling hours for Blanche Adams will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Monday (May 8, 2006) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill with a 2 p.m. service in the funeral home chapel with Elder B. Cormier officiating. Music will be provided by Mary Ann Cormier.
A graveside service will follow the funeral at Oak Hill Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Sandidge and Jordan Sandidge.
